Improvedance products were designed by Rodrigo Almarales, a former principal dancer at the Cincinnati Ballet. When Rodrigo was looking for a foot stretcher, he could not find an existing product that worked as effectively as he had wished. A foot stretcher had to stretch his feet safely, be useful, be easily portable, and had to have all the functions necessary for him to improve his lines. That is when he decided to design his own.

Improvedance was born with one goal in mind: To help dancers improve their skills in the safest and most effective way through innovative tools. We have introduced the worldwide bestseller THE-footstretcher™, THE-footstretcher™ Lit and followed it with the pirouetteMASTER™; the only turning device in the world that allows dancers to practice turns on flat and relevé. Since 2022, Improvedance has been a part of the Sylvia Group. The brand continues to inherit Rodrigo’s wishes. Rodrigo is still hard at work as the company consultant, improving our existing product line and creating new and exciting additions.
